ad:tech London: The Shape of Things to Come?
ad:tech London – 21st-22nd September 2010

“Get your head around innovation” is the battle-cry of the organisers of next week’s ad:tech digital marketing conference and exhibition at Olympia.
Returning to London for the sixth time, ad:tech is billed as the UK’s premier digital marketing event. Including a paid-for conference, free exhibition and free educational seminars, ad:tech provides a meeting point for around 8,000 marketers and advertisers.
Quoted in the event’s official PR, Chris Asselin, ad:tech’s conference director, said:
Now is a fantastic time to be working in digital. The web is crawling with potential customers – internet analyst comScore estimates that more than four billion searches are carried out a month in the UK and over 60 billion worldwide. As a business, it’s essential to know what the industry is saying and at ad:tech you will not only hear what brands, agencies and providers are saying, but also the consumers.
There’s plenty of emphasis on search engine marketing and social media marketing at this year’s event, with A-List speakers in attendance from Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and others. Mobile marketing is high on the agenda too, with an ‘Apps Zone’ and ‘Mobile Marketing Theatre’.
This will be my first time at ad:tech and I’m encouraged by the number of seminars on the schedule covering integration, the importance of good analytics and the benefits for CRM.
